American coin silver beer jug by Henry Haddock of Boston, c.1850. This marvelous jug has a fluted lower body and Repousse Hops and Barley around its neck. The twisted vine handle adds to the appeal of this scarce beer pitcher. Inscribed: W. F. Milton to Mrs. S. W. Cushman, the jug is 7" tall, 5" in diameter and weighs 455 grams or 14.6 ozs. Troy. It has a wonderful finish, inside and out. Inscribed as described above, the soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. The excellent original condition and clear detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
